Jacob & Co. Bugatti Tourbillon watch has a real V16 engine inside
One of the world's finest luxury watchmakers, Jacob & Co. has teamed up with Bugatti to create a limited edition watch inspired by the new Bugatti Tourbillon supercar.
The collaboration between the Jacob Arabo-led company and the Molsheim-based supercar brand dates back to 2019, when the company created a timepiece inspired by the Bugatti Chiron with a working W16 engine inside. Jacob & Co's latest creation celebrates the launch of Bugatti's next-generation supercar, the Tourbillon.
The Bugatti Tourbillon watch measures 52×44 mm. It has three round compartments, similar to the dashboard of a car. One of the compartments houses the real tourbillon mechanism, while the other two display the time and power reserve indicator.
The highlight, however, is the V16 engine made with transparent sapphire, 16 pistons and a single-axis crankshaft.
The watch uses the JCAM55 manual-winding movement, which has 557 parts and is equipped with a 30-second flying tourbillon and a 48-hour double power reserve indicator.
