CLEVELAND -- Trevor Bauer proved his manager right Saturday night.Indians manager Terry Francona said before the game that Bauer would relish the idea of facing Marlins ace Jose Fernandez.Bauer then overcame a shaky first inning and pitched into the ninth in Clevelands 8-3 win over Miami.He looked like he had another gear after the first inning, Francona said. Boy, that was impressive.Bauer (10-6) shut down the Marlins after giving up three runs and three hits in the first. The right-hander didnt allow another hit until Ichiro Suzuki led off the ninth with a single. He gave up three runs and four hits in 8 1/3 innings.I thought I threw the ball really well in the first, Bauer said. The offense came back and put up two real quick, which is great for the team psyche, especially facing a guy thats really good.Francisco Lindor was 4 for 4, Jason Kipnis hit a two-run homer and Coco Crisp -- playing his first game since being acquired from Oakland -- had three hits, helping the AL Central leaders to their fifth straight win.Lindor doubled in the first and third, singled in the fourth and added an RBI single in the sixth.Kipnis hit his 22nd homer in the first off Fernandez (13-8), who gave up a career-high 12 hits and seven runs in 5 2/3 innings.Crisp began his career with the Indians and was traded following the 2005 season.
