rvations Ten observations from Los Angeles Rams vs. Minnesota Vikings in Week 4. But first David Edwards Los Angeles Rams Jerseys , the snap count distributions. Offense Defense Special Teams Marcus Peters had a brutal game. When Peters’ gambling goes well, it results in the spectacular pick six and celebration against the Raiders in Week One. When it goes poorly, you get the kind performance we saw from him on Sunday. Peters was caught looking into the backfield - twice - and was torched for 39-yard and 30-yard touchdowns. He doesn’t look 100 percent healthy through no fault of his own, but he also has to be more disciplined when facing speedy wideouts. The run defense also had a rough day. Coming into the day, Los Angeles had held opposing rushers to under 100 yards in three of four games to start the season. Then came the tandem of Chris Carson and Mike Davis, who chewed up the Rams’ front seven for 184 total yards. More concerning, the duo gained a combined 114 yards rushing directly up the middle at Ndamukong Suh and Aaron Donald. When it really mattered, the defense came through. Despite Peters’ and the front seven’s struggles to contain the run, the defense showed up in crunch time. They held Seattle to only 58 yards and 0-for-2 on third down in the fourth quarter. Wide receiver injuries. Concussions assessed to Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks left the Rams in a bind, forcing Josh Reynolds and KhaDarel Hodge into duty for a combined 63 snaps. Losing both is obviously problematic Los Angeles Rams Jerseys Stitched , but Kupp had been producing a 144.3 passer rating when targeted, so the Rams will miss him if he’s out for an extended period of time. A tale of two Goffs. Despite his overall gigantic step forward this season and MVP candidacy through five weeks, Jared Goff has been uneven in the red zone. He’s second in the league in touchdown passes inside the 10, but also leads the league with two interceptions. Robert Woods is incredible. After Kupp and Cooks went down, the Seahawks defense shifted considerable attention to Woods, who moved over to fill Kupp’s role. Still, he shouldered all 66 offensive snaps, caught five of his seven targets for 92 yards and added two rushing attempts for 53 yards. Mark Barron is back. Barron didn’t ease back into his role after stepping onto the field for the first time in eight months, playing 48 snaps or 80 percent of the defensive total. He also led Los Angeles with a combined nine tackles. Tight ends still pedestrian. Even with an expanded role after Kupp and Cooks’ injuries, Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett caught only a combined three passes for 35 yards. Higbee played 53 snaps or 80 percent of the offensive total. Troy Hill’s solid outing. Hill got the start against Seattle and racked up five tackles and a deflected pass. He also outsnapped Sam Shields 50 snaps to 10. Two sacks for the stars. Donald and Suh picked up a pair of quarterback takedowns to bring their combined season total to six David Edwards Jersey nfl draft , but the Rams edge rushers are still struggling. Combined, the rest of the team has four sacks. After a magical eight-game run, the Los Angeles Rams have officially lost, though not everything was a negative. After starting out hot offensively, the New Orleans Saints managed to take a massive lead of 35-17 by halftime. The Rams improved on both sides of the ball in second half eventually tying the game, though they ultimately couldn’t get the job done.Let’s jump right into the stock report:Stock DownCB Marcus PetersWhat else is there to say about Peters that hasn’t already been said? After making the stock down last week, he once again finds himself on the list. Peters was once again a major liability and had absolutely no answer for WR Michael Thomas after travelling with him. Thomas threw up a career day with 12 receptions for 211 yards and a touchdown. Not only that, but Peters’ major blunder in coverage effectively ensured the Rams lost the game. Terrible.ILB Mark BarronBarron struggled badly in this game. He was beaten in coverage for large gains multiple times, was washed out against the run on certain occasions, and simply missed too many tackles. The Rams need a better performance from the most expensive linebacker they have.OLB Matt LongacreAre you wondering why the Rams traded for Dante Fowler Jr? You shouldn’t Custom David Edwards Jersey , and watching Longacre today is all the proof you needed to see. Another game, another invisible performance.FS Lamarcus JoynerThe performance of Joyner this season could be considered the eighth wonder of the world. After having a career year last year, Joyner proved to be a major liability today. Now, I don’t want to knock him too much because he was asked to do a ton. He logged snaps at outside CB, in man coverage versus running backs (Alvin Kamara), deep safety, and even nickel. All in all, he was awful tackling today and was beaten in coverage several times.Stock UpWR Brandin CooksThe #BrandinCooksRevengeGame went pretty darn well. Cooks registered six receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown in his return to New Orleans. He had a beautiful post-corner on Marshon Lattimore uncovering for a big gain. His catch over the middle of the field that was tipped by Cooper Kupp was also an outstanding and heads up play.WR Cooper KuppIt was great to have this guy back, wasn’t it? Even though Kupp was only targeted six times, he managed to turn that into five receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown. Kupp continues to prove his importance to this offense as he routinely uncovers and creates separation for Jared Goff to throw into. Outside of one drop by Kupp Discount David Edwards Jersey , he had a very clean game.Offensive LineThe Rams had 483 total yards in the game, they scored 35 points in the game, and QB Jared Goff was not sacked once in the game. The offensive line put forth a spectacular performance. The only blunder here was a personal foul on LG Rodger Saffold prior to halftime that knocked the team out of field goal range, but all turned out well as the Rams gained the yardage back the next play and K Greg Zuerlein made the field goal anyways.TE Gerald EverettWell this is new. Tight ends have been largely irrelevant for this offense but today that was not the case. Everett had three receptions for 48 yards - one of them being a major catch and run before half to set the team up with a field goal attempt. Tyler Higbee also got some action with two receptions for 40 yards.CB Nickell Robey-ColemanThe more you watch defenses today, the more you should appreciate NRC. The Rams ask NRC to lock up the slot against anyone and everyone (not today, Peters traveled with Thomas in the slot) and he does a fantastic job week in and week out. To my knowledge, NRC was only beaten one time in coverage and that was against Alvin Kamara. As of today, NRC is the Rams’ best cornerback and it isn’t even close. Hopefully things become more competitive when CB Aqib Talib returns.
