MONTREAL -- Rachel Homan and her Canada rink placed three players on the first all-star team at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian Curling Association announced Saturday. Homan got the nod as skip with second Alison Kreviazuk and third Emma Miskew also making the team. Nova Scotia lead Teri Lake, who curled 99 per cent, also made the squad. The second team had skip Chelsea Carey of Manitoba, lead Morgan Court of Ontario and two from Saskatchewan -- second Sherri Singler and third Sherry Anderson. The all-star squads were picked only on the players statistics, especially shooting percentages, during the event. Anderson, who is at her seventh Scotties, was also given the Marj Mitchell Sportsmanship Award as voted by her fellow curlers.
