Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Columbus Crew SC announced on Friday the club has completed a deal to acquire Democratic Republic of the Congo international attacker Cedrick Mabwati. Commonly known as simply Cedrick, Mabwati arrives in Columbus from Spanish side Real Betis. Per club and MLS policy, details of the deal were not disclosed. Cedrick will be added to Columbus roster pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P-1 Visa. The 22-year-old attacker has spent his entire professional career playing in Spain. He will spend the remainder of the current European season with second- division side Osasuna, where he is on loan from Betis, before joining the Crew SC this summer.
