Wimbledon, England (Sports Network) - Novak Djokovic isnt taking anyone lightly at Wimbledon, especially after the early exits of former champions Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. Nadal went out in the first round and Federer followed in round two, but the top-seeded Serbian has not dropped a set in winning each of his first three matches this week at the All England Club. Djokovic made short work of Frenchman Jeremy Chardy on Saturday in the third round, cruising to a 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 victory in a mere 86 minutes. The 2011 champion blistered 38 winners and committed just three unforced errors. He broke serve five times and didnt face a break point against his own dominant serve. Next up for the world No. 1 will be resurgent German veteran Tommy Haas. The 35-year-old former world No. 2 advanced Saturday with a 4-6, 6-2, 7-5, 6-4 win over Spaniard Feliciano Lopez. Haas is playing Wimbledon for the 14th time and has advanced past the fourth round only once -- a semifinal run in 2009. Haas, after first-round exits each of the past two years, is seeded 13th this week thanks to a win in Munich, a runner-up in San Jose and a quarterfinal appearance at the French Open. He had his run at Roland Garros stopped by Djokovic with a straight-set loss after beating him in the fourth round at the Miami Masters. Fourth-seeded David Ferrer nearly became the third top-five seed eliminated in the first week, but rallied for a 6-7 (6-8), 7-6 (7-2), 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 win over Alexandr Dolgopolov of the Ukraine. Ferrer, a quarterfinalist at the AEC for the first time last year and the runner-up at this years French Open, will next meet Croatias Ivan Dodig, who was comfortably ahead 6-0, 6-1, 1-0 when Dutchman Ivan Sjisling retired. Tomas Berdych and Juan Martin del Potro were among the early winners Saturday, while Frenchman Richard Gasquet was sent home. The seventh-seeded Berdych bounced back from a tough first set and earned a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 victory over South Africas Kevin Anderson, while the eighth-seeded del Potro cruised to a 7-5, 7-6 (7-3), 6-0 triumph over Slovenias Grega Zemlja. Next up for Berdych, the 2010 Wimbledon runner-up, will be Australias Bernard Tomic, who took out the ninth-seeded Gasquet in 7-6 (9-7), 5-7, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) fashion. As for del Potro, the 2009 U.S. Open champ from Argentina will next meet Italys Andreas Seppi, a 3-6, 6-2, 6-7 (4-7), 6-1, 6-4 winner over Japanese 12th seed Kei Nishikori. A quartet of matches rescheduled from Friday were also completed Saturday. Spains Fernando Verdasco posted a 6-2, 6-4, 6-4 win over Ernests Gulbis of Latvia and will next play Frenchman Kenny De Schepper, who advanced with a 6-4, 7-6 (10-8), 6-4 triumph over Argentinas Juan Monaco. Also, Polands Lukasz Kubot thumped Frenchman Benoit Paire, 6-1, 6-3, 6-4, and 20th-seeded Russian Mikhail Youzhny notched a 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 win over Serbias Viktor Troicki to set up a fourth-round match against Andy Murray. "Will be a really tough match for me," said Youzhny about playing the reigning U.S. Open champ and last years Wimbledon runner-up. "I need to be just ready to play and enjoying the Centre Court because not every year you can play against top players on the Centre Court." Sunday will be the traditional day of rest in the London suburb with all eight fourth-round matches scheduled for Monday. HEROES Kris Letang – With the Penguins missing Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, Letang had five assists in a 5-3 win over Winnipeg, giving him 12 points (1 G, 11 A) in his past six games. Letang has had health issues but, since the start of the 2010-2011 season, he’s been one of the most productive defencemen in the game. ZEROES Lucas Lessio – The rookie Coyotes winger was crushed in possession (one shot attempt for, 15 against, 6.3%) at Philadelphia. Chris Terry, Riley Nash – The Hurricanes forwards were buried against Tampa Bay, with Terry matching Lessio’s numbers (1 for, 15 against, 6.3%) and Nash only slightly better (2 for, 21 against, 8.7%). Goaltenders: Roberto Luongo – Florida’s veteran puck-stopper was pulled in favour of Al Montoya after he surrendered five goals on 17 shots in a 5-4 loss to Detroit. Ray Emery – Philadelphia’s backup has struggled, even when given the opportunity to play more with Steve Mason injured. After allowing two goals on four shots, he was pulled after 5:50 against Arizona, and the Flyers brought Mason in off the bench for his first appearance since January 10. Among the 44 goaltenders to play at least 15 games this season, Emery has the worst save percentage (.887). Unfortunately, he gets caved in, possession-wise, so it’s not as though he can be expected to improve territorial play. Marcel Goc – The 31-year-old centre has been playing a fourth-line role in Pittsburgh, but has played more (17-18 minutes per game for nearly three seasons in Florida) previously. Goc plays a solid two-way game, and while he’s not going to play on the edge the way that Lapierre can, Goc is a better player with more ability to move up the depth chart if need be. LINEUP NEEED TO KNOW Taylor Hall – The Oilers winger took a shot off the leg in practice Monday and missed Tuesday’s loss to Minnesota.dddddddddddd With Hall out, Benoit Pouliot moved up to play with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jordan Eberle. Mikhail Grabovski – Scored a goal in his return to the Islanders lineup, where he skated on the wing with John Tavares and Josh Bailey, filling in for an injured Kyle Okposo. A nice opportunity to put up points alongside skilled linemates. Patrick Eaves – Playing his first game for Dallas since December 2, Eaves skated with Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin, scored a goal, and had 11 shot attempts (6 SOG), while playing a season-high 18:00 at Montreal. Chris Thorburn – The Jets winger played a season-high 13:34 at Pittsburgh, scoring a goal and an assist, giving him four points (3 G, 1 A) in the past four games. Mathieu Perreault – Returned to the Jets lineup, his first game since January 16, when he was injured by Daniel Carcillo’s cross check. Mikael Granlund – The Minnesota centre played his first game in a month, skating 17:25 for the Wild in Edmonton, with Zach Parise and Thomas Vanek on his wings.
